Entering the Trenches

Well... here we go. Today I sent my very first query letter for THE VOICES OF VARISYN. It's been a year and a half of writing, revising, tears, and the most joy I've ever experienced. It made me quit corporate life to work with other writers, it has made me get back to learning and trying incredibly hard things, and it has introduced me to magic.

Because that, to me, is what writing is. It's tapping into another world and letting the characters there tell you their stories. 

And it has been SUCH an honor to tell Elina's story. It is one of looking into the darkness that lives within all of us, and wondering if it is, in fact, a strength. It's one that explores our relationship to nature, and to the most vulnerable populations that get sacrificed to the greed of the elite. 

So... here we go. Time to see if the literary world responds. And if it doesn't... I will keep writing. Maybe even self-publish. Who knows. 

All I know is that I am so proud that I got here.
